Adobe Deployment

Hello all!

We're still on the learning curve for deploying AVD environments and one of the challenges we continue to encounter is Adobe issues.

I've followed all of the guidance on virtual deployments that I could find but we still have scanning issues, features missing (even after removing feature lockdown), and freezing of the program that requires the program to be administratively ended and restarted.

Has anyone found the secret sauce to getting Adobe running without issue?

Welcome to the community, cgriffin 🙂!

I know there are a few other posts on deploying Adobe (see articles below), but I'm curious what issues you're having.

Adobe articles that may help:
Adobe Acrobat Pro DC installation – Nerdio Help Center (getnerdio.com)
FSLogix App Masking: Errors during logon – Nerdio Help Center (getnerdio.com)
Errors when cloning Desktop Image – Nerdio Help Center (getnerdio.com)

- We've got adobe DC installed using per-user licensing under an enterprise account

- We're getting multiple different issues, the two primary issues being 1.) All tools not appearing for certain users and 2.) Scan redirecting not allowing to scan from directly in adobe. These are the currently active and reported issues but we've also seen random users having adobe become unresponsive and requiring a task kill on the host to get working again, issues with specific tools missing. All users hold the same license and use the same version of Adobe.

- We're deploying Windows 11 Enterprise Multisession

- I've looked into it but I'm not really familiar with this style of app deployment so have not tried yet.

I've read most articles out there about Nerdio/AVD/Adobe VDI deployments, as well as seeking guidance directly from Adobe. I'll look at those and see if there's anything I haven't tried yet.

We are also running into this issue for Windows 11 Enterprise Multisession, but not seeing adobe slowness in Win 10 Multisession. We install Adobe DC on the image for all clients at the moment.

For us, we have our Win10 Multisession with slightly different FSLogix Redirections XML, and the clients using Win11 having issues with Adobe all have the 127 exclusions in FSLogix. I don't know if its related but other than Windows 11 it is the only thing setting the clients apart from the one not having freezing.
