I'm on NMM 7.1.1 and If there is no such AES-encryption option in the storage account manage drop down, does it mean AES is already applied?

if it was the geneva (monitoring) agent as research suggested, seems the reboot did the trick - just a matter of waiting for NMM to update and refresh. Fixed again
