Task/Condition name to be included as part of notification

Looking to have more control on what notifications we recieve.

Currently getting alot of the following emails.

“Get User Session” Error: User session [<username>] on host: [<hostname> not found.

I've suggested in Add Notifications Exclusions – Nerdio Help Center to add a ‘Inverse’ filter but if this not possible then i'd like to know which ‘TASKS" in the condition if triggering this email/event so i can exclude it at least for MSP admins.

For example: ‘Get user session’ is not a task option in the below. The fix i am suggesting is including the ‘action’ NAME from the below list in the email, so its easier for us to identify and filter if needed.

Hopefully that makes sense :)

Hmm. I know this isn't currently possible, but I'm wondering if a better approach might be a way to silence/mute notifications (similar to how we can do that with Drift Notifications) where you can dismiss the notification and potentially review/allow the notifications in the future? 🤔

Do you think that would work or are you thinking to have explicit exclusions would be better?

Hey George,

We do support the $type variable in your notification actions (for tasks) that should list the task name. Do your notification actions include that variable or is it working unexpectedly?

Thanks!
