Scheduled SQL Tiering

This one should be simple.

Let's monitor/manage SQLaaS in Nerdio.

I'm sure once this gets started more feature requests will come in, but for now a big one will be scheduled tiering.

It would be nice to be able to downsize the DTU's / vCores or tier between them during off-peak hours.

Autoscale for SQL as a Service?

That could be cool.

We had a feature request to be able to quote Azure DBs in the cost estimator, but I think this may be our first (explicit) request for SQL DB performance management in NMM.

Using it for NMM DB performance scaling could be good, but customer DB performance would be a more likely use-case.

Because the increase in performance obviously comes at a cost, would you want some kind of guardrails around spending or allow unlimited spending and just notify on spending when you get to a certain threshold?

For now I was thinking of keeping it simple.
I have several clients we keep at a specific DTU or vCPU.
So we have have a set amount for business hours, and we can set a reduced amount for non business hours.
This could be a few lines of code set to a schedule if dompleted this way.

I like simple. Especially for a v1 iteration.

Let's see what our product team can come-up with.
