Allow associated UAM resources to adhere to a naming convention.

Hi All,

Whilst carrying out a Go-Live for an MSP, the customer noticed that the resources created that are associated with a UAM deployment do not have the same GUID in the name.

For example, the deployment policy for one application, created the following resources in the customers tenancy.

Script

INSTALL-SCRIPT-fb77d38604f74de1ab8052dfd64fad61

Corresponding groups
INSTALL-MOBILE-GROUP-92cad503592044fca3568750971539aa
INSTALL-WINGET-GROUP-815a6d0d6a914ad29e6d6842d89f9a0e

They have asked if this could be changed? Perhaps with the option to customise the name or description of the created resources so that it is easier to identify.

Thank you!

Luke Shand
Go-Live Engineer.

Great idea, Luke!

It looks like Matt suggested something similar.(App Deployment - Naming of Groups/Scripts in Entra/Intune - Add Variable, More Meaningful Name and Description – Nerdio Help Center)
I'm going to link the two ideas together to make it easier for our product team to implement.
