Working with a MSP today, they like that there is an option to define global RDP properties at the MSP level but noticed that there was no option to do so at the Account level. Could this be introduced like you can do for FSLogix and Directory integrations?
Introduce account level RDP properties defaults.
Welcome to the community, Luke Shand ๐!
We've seen a few requests around Global RDP (ex:Global RDP Settings - Highlight deviations from Common Settings โ Nerdio Help Center, Clone Global RDP Properties โ Nerdio Help Center), but this is the first time I'm seeing a request for it at the account level.
Can you give a little more context around the use-case for it?
Generally, if you want the same RDP settings applied to multiple host pools, you will create the global RDP properties and then assign it in the host pool properties.
I will say that the UX of assigning Global RDP Properties to a host pool is a little clunky (i.e. Host Pool> Properties>Custom RDP> All Settings>Choose the Global RDP>Scroll to the bottom>Click Save>Go back into the hostpool/properties to finish the configuration ๐ฎโ๐จ) especially when compared to theย FSLogix or Identity profiles in the host pool properties.
However, once I set a few Global RDP properties, I rarely need to change it at the account/host pool level. Especially with the Sync RDP settings with Global properties option.
Depending on the use-case here, I'm thinking the Clone Global RDP Properties โ Nerdio Help Center) request may fulfill the need here, but I'm interested to see the scenario you're describing.
