View Boot Diagnostics Screenshot from Nerdio

Hello,

It would be useful if we could view the boot diagnostics screenshot from within Nerdio. Instead of having to login to a customers tenant or swapping in the partner portal, if we could have a mouse over or an option to view it, that would be useful.

Use case: You've just made some changes to a VM, including Windows updates, while it's running you're paying for it (No RI or it's an image) You can't RDP back onto the server. How do you know if it's done, or if something has broken. Check the Boot Diag screenshot, but you've got to login to the portal to check something that would take 2 seconds to check if it was in Nerdio. It would be a nice QoL change.

Thanks

Ben

Welcome to the community, Ben Blake 🙂!

Great idea!
It's a little thing but it can make a huge difference for quick troubleshooting.
We "kind of" have it right now, but it's not as dynamic as you're probably thinking of based on your provided use case (see Current Functionality below).

If I'm understanding correctly, you're wanting a way to click a link on any VM (host, Server, Desktop Image VM, etc.) and see the latest snapshot of the Boot Diagnostics you can see in the Azure Portal.
Would you want it so it automatically updates (every 15-30 minutes?) or have it so that you refresh it on demand to pull the latest screenshot?
The latter option may be a bit "cheaper" from an API call perspective, but the auto-update may be faster/easier for your team.
Thoughts?
