Overview of Tenant Monitoring reports

This feature is in Beta.

The Tenant Monitoring reports show how a customer environment compares to the MSP baseline. This can include solution baselines, policy baselines, and/or global policies. The report can be run for a specific account or a combination of accounts.

Create a new Tenant Monitoring report

Nerdio Manager allows you to create a new Tenant Monitoring report.

To create a new Tenant Monitoring report:

  1. At the MSP level, navigate to Tenant Monitoring.

  2. Select Add Report.

  3. In the Report sources tab, enter the following information:

    • Name and Description:

      • Tenant monitoring report ...: Select the pencil icon, and then enter a name for the report.

      • <no value>: Select the pencil icon, and then enter a description for the report

    • Solution baselines: From the drop-down list, select the solution baseline(s) to include in the report.

    • Policy baselines: From the drop-down list, select the policy baseline(s) to include in the report.

    • Global policies: Select Select to select the global policies to include in the report.

  4. In the Report options tab, enter the following information:

    • Report type: From the drop-down list, select the report type.

      Note:

      • Select Managed customer account(s) to configure the report for existing account(s).

      • Select Unmanaged customer tenant to configure the report for a prospect account.

    • Select target accounts

      • For a Managed customer account(s) report, from the Select target accounts drop-down list, select the existing account(s) to include in the report.

      • For a Unmanaged customer tenant report, select +Add and follow the prompts to sign in to the customer tenant.

    • Options: Optionally, select from the following options:

      • Ignore policy names: Select this option to ignore policy names.

      • Ignore group assignments: Select this option to ignore group assignments.

        For Managed customer accounts, optionally select from the additional options:

      • Hide the actual values for settings: Select this option to hide the actual values for the settings on the report.

      • Using only managed policies for comparing settings: Select this option to use managed policies when comparing settings.

  5. In the Schedule tab, enter the following information:

    Note: You should try to consolidate schedules as much as possible because they require a lot of resources.

    • Schedule: Optionally, toggle On this option and enter the desired schedule.

  6. In the Report confirmation tab, review the report configuration and enter the following information:

    • Historical options: Move the slider to the desired number of historical summaries to keep.

  7. Once you have reviewed the report's configuration, select Save & close.

View a Tenant Monitoring report

The following section shows you how to view a Tenant Monitoring report.

To view a Tenant Monitoring report:

  1. At the MSP level, navigate to Tenant Monitoring.

  2. Locate the report you wish to view and select Status Overview.

    • The Status column uses the following colors:

      • Green: Valid (Satisfied)

      • Yellow: Mismatch (Drifted)

      • Red: Not Found (Drifted)

        Note: This means the option has not been set in this tenant. For a solution baseline,the option is in an unavailable state. For a policy, it means the current setting in the policy is not found in any policies in the tenant.

      • Gray: Excluded

  3. Select View details to see the report's details.

  4. Optionally, you may do the following:

    • Filter the list by status.

    • Select the print report icon to print the report.

    • Show or hide the details by using the icons.

View a historical Tenant Monitoring report

The following section shows you how to view a historical Tenant Monitoring report, which is used to easily identify trends.

To view a historical Tenant Monitoring report:

  1. At the MSP level, navigate to Tenant Monitoring.

  2. Locate the report you wish to view and from the action menu, select History Overview.

Manage Tenant Monitoring Reports

Nerdio Manager allows to you manage existing reports.

To manage Tenant Monitoring reports:

  1. At the MSP level, navigate to Tenant Monitoring.

  2. Locate the report you wish to work with.

  3. From the action menu, select any of the following:

    • Configure report: Change the report's configuration.

    • Status Overview: View the report.

    • History Overview: View a historical report for identifying trends.

    • Reprocess: Reprocess the report.

    • Clone: Clone the report.

    • Remove: Remove the report.
