FSLogix Cloud Cache

FSLogix Cloud Cache

FSLogix profiles are a central feature of AVD desktops. FSLogix Cloud Cache adds a layer of reliability and resiliency to the critical FSLogix profiles component of AVD.

Cloud Cache allows you to specify multiple profile storage locations. Enabling Cloud Cache on a host pool asynchronously replicates the FSLogix profiles and makes the profiles available in multiple storage locations at the same time. The VHD data is temporarily cached on a session host VM and then is asynchronously written to one or more locations specified. For example, one location could be a Azure Files share, while another location a file server share. If the first location fails for some reason, the session host with FSLogix cloud cache configuration automatically failovers to use the second location, and so on. You can specify up to four locations.
