End User Role
Once you have setup an AVD environment for your customers and assigned AVD desktops to end users, you can allow the end users to sign in to your Nerdio Manager portal and manage their desktop(s). By signing in to the Nerdio Manager portal, end users are able to power on/off their personal desktops; and disconnect, send messages, and sign off from their pooled session desktops.
Grant End Users Access
Nerdio Manager allows you to grant access to end users to the portal.
To grant end users access to the Nerdio Manager portal:
Sign in to your Nerdio Manager portal as an administrator.
At the MSP level, navigate to Users and Roles > Role assignments.
Select Add.
Enter the following information:
Role: From the drop-down list, select the user's role.
Accounts: From the drop-down list, select the account the user should have access to.
Users/Groups: Start typing the user or group name you are granting access to. When displayed, select the user or group.
Note: Repeat the step above for additional users or groups.
Access Expiration: From the drop-down list, select the access expiration time.
Once you have entered all the desired information, select OK.
Remove an End User's Access
Nerdio Manager allows you to remove an end user's access to the portal at any time.
Note: Manually removing an end user's access overrides the access expiration time assigned to the user when access was granted.
To remove an end user's access to the Nerdio Manager portal:
Sign in to your Nerdio Manager portal as an administrator.
At the MSP level, navigate to Users and Roles > Role assignments.
Locate the user you wish to work with.
From the action menu, select Remove access.
On the confirmation pop-up, select OK.
End User Capabilities in the Nerdio Manager Portal
Once an end user signs in to the Nerdio Manager portal, they see a screen similar to this one:
This a list of personal desktops they have been assigned to and a list of pooled session desktops they are either signed in to or are currently disconnected from.
End users are able to perform the following actions:
Message: Send a message to a user on a personal or pooled session desktop if they are currently signed in to desktop (there is an active session).
Disconnect: The end user can disconnect from a personal or pooled session desktop if they are currently signed in to desktop (there is an active session).
Log off: The end user can sign off of a personal or pooled session desktop if they are currently signed in to a desktop or disconnected from a desktop.
Restart: The end user can restart a personal desktop if it is currently powered on.
Power off: The end user can power off a personal desktop if it is currently powered on.
Power on: The end user can power on a personal desktop if it is currently powered off.
End User Activity Logs
Nerdio Manager logs all actions taken by an end user and you may view the logs.
To view the logs:
At the MSP level, navigate to Logs.
Optionally, filter by any of the following:
User or resource name
Task level (MSP, Account, or both)
Task type
Status
Date
Optionally, select Details to view the log's details.
