Availability Zones in Nerdio Manager

Azure availability zones are designed to help you achieve resiliency and reliability for your business-critical workloads. The network module of Nerdio Manager helps you add Public IPs and NAT Gateways in multiple availability zones.

Assign an Availability Zone to a Public IP

Nerdio Manager allows you to assign an Azure availability zone to a Public IP.

To assign an availability zone to a Public IP:

  1. At the Account level, navigate to NetworkPublic IP.

  2. Select Add Public IP.

  3. Enter the following information:

    • Region: From the drop-down list, select the Azure region.

    • Availability Zone: From the drop-down list, select the availability zone.

      Note: By default, the availability zone drop-down is disabled. Once you select a region (for example, West US 2), you are able to select the corresponding availability zone.

  4. Once you have entered all the desired information, select OK.

Associate a Public IP with Virtual Machines

Nerdio Manager allows you to associate a Public IP with virtual machines.

To associate a Public IP with virtual machines:

  1. At the Account level, navigate to NetworkPublic IP.

  2. Locate the Public IP you wish to work with and select Associate.

  3. Enter the following information:

    • Server: From the drop-down list, select the server to associate with the Public IP.

    • Network Interface: From the drop-down list, select the network interface to associate with the Public IP.

    • IP Configuration: From the drop-down list, select the IP configuration to associate with the Public IP.

  4. Once you have entered all the desired information, select OK.

Assign an Availability Zone to a NAT Gateway

Nerdio Manager allows you to assign an Azure availability zone to a NAT Gateway.

To assign an availability zone to a NAT Gateway:

  1. At the Account level, navigate to NetworkNAT Gateway.

  2. Select Add NAT Gateway.

  3. Enter the following information:

    • Region: From the drop-down list, select the Azure region.

    • Availability Zone: From the drop-down list, select the availability zone.

      Note: By default, the availability zone drop-down is disabled. Once you select a region (for example, West US 2), you are able to select the corresponding availability zone.

  4. Once you have entered all the desired information, select OK.
