Restart or reprovision a Windows 365 Cloud PC
You may need to restart or reprovision a Windows 365 Cloud PC in response to technical issues or configuration changes. Restarting reboots the Cloud PC without affecting data, while reprovisioning fully resets it to its initial provisioned state.
To restart or reprovision a Windows 365 Cloud PC:
At the account level, navigate to Users.
Locate the user with a Windows 365 Cloud PC you wish to work with.
-
From the action menu, select one of the following:
-
Restart: Select this option to restart the Windows 365 Cloud PC.
Note: This is generally fast to complete. You can monitor the task's progress in the Users Tasks section.
-
Reprovision: Select this option to reprovision the Windows 365 Cloud PC from scratch.
Note: The Windows 365 Cloud PC is reset back to how it was when it was first provisioned for the user. This takes a substantial amount of time. You can monitor the task's progress in the Users Tasks section.
-
Resize a Windows 365 Enterprise Cloud PC
When you first assign a Windows 365 Cloud PC to a user, you select its size. The size is a combination of the following factors: CPU, memory, and storage. For example, you may have initially assigned a user a 2 vCPU Windows 365 Cloud PC desktop with 4 GB RAM and 128 GB storage. Once the user has used that sized desktop for a while, they may want to upgrade to a different sized Windows 365 Cloud PC. You can resize the Windows 365 Enterprise Cloud PC assigned to a user with the Resize Cloud PC option.
Notes:
This feature is available only for Windows 365 Enterprise Cloud PCs.
You can only increase the size of an existing Windows 365 Cloud PC desktop. You cannot resize a desktop to a smaller size. That is, a desktop with less vCPU, memory, or storage than the one currently assigned to the user.
To resize a Windows 365 Enterprise Cloud PC:
At the account level, navigate to Users.
Locate the user with a Windows 365 Enterprise Cloud PC that you want to work with.
-
From the action menu, select Resize.
-
Enter the following information:
-
Desktop: From the drop-down list, select the desktop assigned to the user that you wish to resize.
Note: This option is displayed only if the user has been assigned more than one desktop.
Size: Select the new size.
-
Once you have entered all the desired information, select OK.
Disable a Windows 365 Cloud PC
Nerdio Manager allows you to disable an account's Windows 365 Cloud PC functionality.
Note: Disabling a Windows 365 Cloud PC only hides Cloud PC-specific menus and functionality. It does not remove any existing Cloud PC resources. If you re-enable the Windows 365 Cloud PC functionality, all your Cloud PC resources will be restored, assuming you have not deleted any resources from Azure or Microsoft Intune.
To disable a Windows 365 Cloud PC:
At the account level, navigate to Settings > Integrations.
-
In the Desktop deployment model tile, clear the Windows 365 Cloud PC option(s) you wish to disable.
