Unified Application Management: Android Applications
Nerdio Manager allows you to import Android applications from Google Play into the Unified Catalog.
Prerequisite
Before you can import Android applications, you must connect your Intune account to your Managed Google Play account. See this Microsoft article for details.
Note: Customer devices must also be enrolled through one of the enrollment types described in the Microsoft article (Android Enterprise personally-owned work profile, Android Enterprise corporate-owned work profile, Android Enterprise fully managed, or Android Enterprise dedicated devices).
Import an Android Application to the Unified Catalog
Nerdio Manager allows you to import an Android application from Google Play into the Unified Catalog.
Tip: Before you import an Android application, you should first search for the application in the Unified Catalog. To help you search, you may filter the Repository for Android Apps only.
To import an Android application:
At the MSP level, navigate to Applications.
Select Import Managed Android Apps.
Search for and select the desired application.
On the confirmation pop-up, select OK.
The import task starts. You may see the import task's progress in the Unified Catalog Tasks section.
Android Application Lifecycle
Once an Android application is imported into the Unified Catalog, you can generally manage it like any other application.
From the Unified Catalog, you can assign the application to customer accounts the same way you can for Windows applications.
At the Account level, you use the same application policies to assign the application to users/devices.
When an application has been assigned by the policy, the policy provisions and manages a native Intune mobile app for that customer account. Meaning, Intune is responsible for deploying the app and devices should be managed by Intune in order to get the application deployed.
