we would like to submit a feature request for the Reporting Engine.
In reports such as Desktop Login Activity, timestamps are currently displayed with a fixed date and time format. We would like to have more flexibility in how timestamps are shown in reports.
Requested options could include:
- Ability to hide the time and only show the date
- Ability to customize the timestamp format
- Ability to omit the timestamp or parts of it entirely
- Ideally: configurable timestamp display per report section
The main reason for this request is data privacy and compliance. In Germany and the EU, detailed login timestamps may be sensitive from a GDPR/privacy perspective, especially when reports are shared with customers, management, or other stakeholders.
Having the option to reduce or customize timestamp details would make the reports easier to use in privacy-sensitive environments while still retaining the relevant reporting value.
Example:
Instead of showing a full timestamp such as:
2026-05-29 08:42:13
it should be possible to display only:
2026-05-29
or to hide the timestamp entirely, depending on the reporting requirements.
This would be helpful not only for Desktop Login Activity, but potentially as a general option across the Reporting Engine wherever timestamps are displayed.
