Has anyone else updated to 7.0.0? This is a huge downgrade in terms of the UI.
1. Everything seems to take more clicks and time than it did before. You want to go look at a host pool there is now an extra menu you have to go through to get there. Not only can you not click directly on things you have to hover your mouse in order for menus to load. Big drop in productivity waiting for menus.
2. Turn on dark mode. You now can't read major parts of the screen. For example look at the host pools. You cannot read the “tasks” or the dates created or completed of those tasks. This was clearly never tested in dark mode.
3. Slow. The interface takes so much longer to load now than it did pre-upgrade. Maybe it just needs time to settle but we will see. Maybe this is just a side effect of waiting for all the animations. When things move on hover it's usually a bad UI choice for productivity.
4. interface jumps around. You can pin the new sub menu however this of course shrinks the working space even more. If you move your mouse over the clients dropdown the whole page shifts and then when you move your mouse away from it then the UI shifts again. Consistency would be much better.
Overall, this is a major downgrade in functionality. I probably shouldn't have jumped into the preview release. Hopefully this can get fixed by GA or maybe just scrap this new UI completely.
This was just my first 10 minutes of using the new interface. Anyone else try it and find anything good in the upgrade? I'm hoping the reporting engine provides something of value.
