@Jim-Barry Behar,

Thank you very much for the suggestion and I have forwarded it directly to the product team.

Please add Manage Estimates button on the main page of Cost Estimator - seems counterintuitive to have to first have to go to View Costs to load any existing estimates

Servers with Delete Locks enabled in Azure (to protect the VM's) fail to delete scripted actions upon completion of runs. Would it be feasible to make the scriptable action run, and immediately after completion, script out the lock, delete it, delete the scripted action, and re-enable the delete lock?

Hi Jim-Barry,

Regarding your request to add Manage Estimates button to the main page of the Cost Estimator, you can change your settings to go to the Manage estimates page when you click Cost Estimator in the main menu:

Thanks,
Amol.

Can you provide the list of secure variables for use in the scripted actions?

Thank you!

Hi Luis and thank you for reaching out via the Community.

I believe you're looking for the available variables that can be used in Scripted Actions.  You can find that list via the info button in the Scripted Action menu(screenshot below)

You should get this list of variables

If that doesn't answer the question please feel free to submit a ticket to nmm.support@getnerdio.com and we will be happy to review further.

Happy Holidays!

Please could you add the ability to specify Redirections XML (possibly with an default example) in say a dropdown in the FSLogix section in the host pool properties, that would automatically create a file on the session hosts that contains the XML in a directory and add the registry entry.

Thanks

Paul

Hi Paul - thank you for submitting the request. I will discuss with my team and see if we can build it out in an upcoming release.

I would love to see integration into ConnectWise Manage in NMM.  Especially, the ability for NMM to create a ticket as a notification action.

I second the need for an integration to ConnectWise Manage for ticket/alerts - and/or webhooks to get the alerts in Teams.

Nick and Jim-Barry - Thanks for the feedback. I have those integrations on the product roadmap. I will revise their priority based on your input. Thanks again.

If possible, in reports tab, add a field to email the csv or user reports and add a schedule to send monthly to billing department. Thank you!

Good suggestion Brian. I have added that feature request to our product backlog.

I would like the feature of scheduling any action, for example resizing or rebooting servers, re-imaging individual hosts in a host pool, and creating resources. These are just a few examples, ideally any action that can be performed in NMM should have the option to schedule it.

Thanks.

Hi,

We where testing with FSLogix app rules. It works very well and it is easy to configure.
But you can only configure them if FSLogix containers are enabled on the Host Pool.
FSLogix containers and FSLogix app rules are using the same agent but it would be useful to configure App Rules regardless the use of FSLogix containers.

One other thing that should be very handy is if AppRules could be copied from one host pool to another. This saves some time if you're using separate host pools for Test, Acceptance and Production.

Kind regards,
Martijn

In the Enterprise version of Nerdio, we have the option to automatically delete backed-up versions of desktop images.
However, in the MSP version of Nerdio, we need to manually clean up the images.
It'd be nice to be able to set, per Account, the default image retention and be prompted to override the default when backing up a desktop image.

Hi DStephenson- good suggestion. I have added the ability to take a backup of an image to the backlog and will get the featured added to NMM soon here.

I have been tasked with quoting an AVD environment for a US Government agency.  I noticed that the cost estimator does not include US Government Azure regions?

Nick - Nerdio Manager for MSP works with the Azure commercial cloud only. I suggest looking at our Nerdio Manager for Enterprise product for customers in the Gov cloud.

Server Auto-Scale Feature Request

We have demand from a customer to provide the ability under Server Auto-Scale to resize disks when servers are powered off, like you can with AVD workloads. Would this be a feature that could be integrated?

It would be nice to have the possibility to re-image a Desktop Image for our accounts.
Our goal is to build images without user interaction by using an image from the azure library combined with several scripted actions.
With this approach we're able to re-deploy images from scratch without carrying historical stuff slipped into the imaging device.

Actually we can only create an image from scratch by deleting the imaging device and recreate it.
The disadvantage of this method is we lose our image and/or image definition so the hostpools with auto-scaling configured will lose there image reference.

If we have the ability to re-image an existing imaging device, we always start clean and just create a new image version without deleting anything.

Have you reviewed our options with image staging?  This may be a solution for this scenario.  You can find more info in our guide HERE

Thanks for the link to the imaging staging guide. The thing we're looking for is to re-stage our imaging VM from scratch.
Creating an image is already one step to far as the source (Desktop Imaging vm) caries all historical stuff.
Should be nice if the imaging VM can be created from scratch without the images to be deleted which is the case when you delete the Desktop Image VM.

I hope this explains what we would like to achieve.

NMM's "Generate RDP file" function breaks when putting the app behind a proxy like Cloudflare. It gets the wrong IP address.

NMM should handle the  X-Forwarded-For header correctly or use the CF-Connecting-IP header.

See:

https://developers.cloudflare.com/fundamentals/get-started/reference/http-request-headers/

Let me know if this should be a bug report instead of a feature request.

We use a lot of dynamic pools with a lot of configured settings, (I often find myself with 2 tabs open checking multiple pools settings against each other) it would be awesome to be able to clone our options to other pools, or when a pool is created, inherit a named pools settings for initial setup.

Earl Hay, I know we have the option to clone an existing host pool, but the ability to push the settings from one host pool to another would be a very nice add.

Earl Hay & DStephenson when you say Settings, are you thinking Autoscale, everything on the Properties pop-up, and RDP client properties? Great suggestions, I want to make sure we cover everything you need.

Yes, that would be great if we could.
But, if it's an option to choose which settings we want to push/copy, that'd be better.
For example, if we have everything set the way we want except for the for the autoscale  and RDP settings, being able to check a box to be able to copy those from HostPool A to HostPool D would be great.

Hello! We are missing a feature for the cost estimator, that would account for the subscription of a SQL-license tied directly to the VM.
I know that we can place CSP SQL licenses in the cost estimator, but what we are looking for is how the Azure Pricing Calculator handles this. Ref. the below screenshot.

Right now, we have to utilize both the Nerdio Cost Estimator, aswell as the Azure Pricing Calculator.

Would it be possible to have some date and time options?  In the U.K. we use the 24-hour (aka Military Time) and our date format is day month year.  A timestamp from yesterday Sep 5, 2022 07:57 PM would be better for me as 05/09/2022 19:57.
