Feature Request – Maintenance Mode in Nerdio Manager for MSP

Currently, in Nerdio Manager for MSP, when placing a session host in drain mode, the host is still counted as an active/running machine by Autoscale. This often prevents Autoscale from starting a replacement host, even though the session host is no longer available for new connections.

In Nerdio Manager for Enterprise, there is a dedicated Maintenance Mode that:

  • Puts the host into drain mode,
  • Excludes it from Autoscale calculations,
  • Ensures Autoscale will start a replacement host if minimum capacity is not met.

Feature Request:
Please add a Maintenance Mode option to Nerdio Manager for MSP with the same behavior as in the Enterprise edition:

  • Hosts in Maintenance Mode should automatically be excluded from Autoscale capacity calculations.
  • This will allow MSPs to safely patch, update, or troubleshoot hosts without risking session availability for end users.

Business Impact:

  • Prevents unexpected session denial when all active hosts are placed in drain mode for maintenance.
  • Reduces manual steps for MSPs (no need to drain + power down + monitor Autoscale manually).
  • Aligns feature parity between MSP and Enterprise editions, improving the admin experience.

As a new NMM customer, I would also love to have this feature.  Putting a host in Drain Mode in NMM persists until a reboot, then it's automatically back in service.  Would be fantastic to have one-click to put a host in Drain Mode without first having to Pause autoscaling on the host pool.
