Feature Request - Group Template reuse (Completed)

Looking at group templates for Intune policies that I would normally use a filter for but custom filters are not an option yet.
It appears that I must include either the policyname or the policyid that the group is being assigned to.

The problem with this is that lets say I have a group for Entra Joined computers but 10 policies which means there will then be 10 identical dynamic groups in the tenant which just feels messy.
I believe it would make much more sense to allow the group to be used in multiple policies with the name I choose.

Good find, Tomas!

Being able to have separate groups per policy in nice for flexibility, but it can quickly clog-up a tenant.
Do you think if we add the ability to utilize Standard Group Templates in policy assignments, that will do what you're wanting?

Using the group templates would be what I would want yes.

Tomas R Bedford  Your suggestions are much appreciated. NMM will allow you to manage custom Intune Filters soon! Additionally, we're also planning to let you use the same Group Template for multiple policies in an upcoming release. This will give you more flexibility in targeting your policies to customer tenants. Please keep sharing your ideas!
