Abort the reimaging for all hosts, if the first reimaging fails

tl;dr Add the option to abort an reimaging for all hosts, if the reimaging of the first host fails

Hey team,

currently we ran into a problem within a customer environment: While reimaging a host, there was a problem with a downloadlink within an scripted action. The result was, that the reimaging process failed and there was no active sessionhost within the AVD hostpool.

Is it possible to enhance the reimaging process?

First option could be, that Nerdio tries to rollout a new sessionhost and with the deplyoment of the new host, the reimaging process will delete the old one.

Or - and this could have also solved our problem - that when the reimaging of the first sessionhost fails, the reimaging process overall will also end. So in our case we could have kept at least one functional sessionhost within the pool.

I hope I was able to communicate clearly.

If there are any misunderstandings, please reach out to me!

Thank you

chris

Hello Christian,

This is the “Re-image Host Pool VMs” task that you are referring to?

If so, there should be an option in the task to abort after “X” amount of failures. Was this configured when the task was ran?
