Image Management - Feature Request

Hi guys,

 

We have been experimenting with some of the great NMM features, looking to streamline our monthly patching process for our AVD images.

 

We have had some success utilizing schedules to run scripted actions against the image VMs to install updates/patches to the OS and O365 suite. We have also been working with the application management feature to update many of the stock applications which are installed on the gold images we maintain. One limitation we have observed is that the app deployment policies, which we'd very much like to leverage, can't currently be targeted at images:

 

 

I think this would be a great feature, allowing us to group the common apps we'd like to update and potentially schedule these updates to occur monthly during our patching window, further reducing the manual elements of the patching process.

Great idea, Luke!

We have the ability to choose where the scripted actions go, but not the UAM App Deployment.

One workaround you could do would be to do a recurring Power On Image task where you run the app updates and then a separate Set as Image task to capture the image.

Do you think that could work until we're able to add that feature?
