Email alert with desktop images are left on for X amount of hours?

We recently ran into an issue with a desktop image being left on for any extended period when the scheduled task to power on, run Microsoft Windows Updates and Microsoft Office updates, power off & set as image encountered an error.  When I logged into the dashboard there was a notice at the top of the page that a desktop image had been powered on for more than 8 hours.  I could not locate a setting where such an alert could be relayed to our team.

I created ticket #106745 and the technician said to have such an alert emailed to the organization is not something that can be configured at the moment.  I was advised to put in a feature request.

Looking through other posts I see others are asking for the same feature last year.  I have been hesitant to roll out automated updates for this exact reason.  We were burned last year a couple times as well when this same thing occurred.  Please consider adding a feature to notify the NMM organization when the desktop image has been left on for an extended period, i.e. 8 hours. Having such a feature would greatly provide us piece of mind when using automation to keep our images updated.

Thank you.

Good Morning Jeremy,   this feature request is in our feature development queue.  I wouldn't have an ETA yet on release date as this would still need to go through our full development and QA process.   In the meantime, are you utilizing our automated cleanup option under the Error Handling settings for the "Set as Image" task?   This feature is intended to cleanup any failed attempt to "Set as Image" automatically, which should then shutdown that desktop image VM as well.
