I like the idea!

I know we have a similar request (App Install/Update Wizard for UAM on Images – Nerdio Help Center) to have NMM detect apps and prompt to update them, but it seems like your ask is a bit different.
(please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong)

As far as I know, we can't natively do this with an Intune Configuration Profile (again, I could be wrong), but it's possible we can pull it off with a custom PowerShell script or a Nerdio Manager Scripted Action. 

If we did that (some kind of script) or improved our UAM functionality, do you think that would do what you're wanting?

Yes my ask is a little different. There was a feature one of my techs stumbled upon that was Winget auto-updater which could run on the local machine and updated all users apps. It used Administrative templates which shows retired in Intune. I think this might be a great feature for patch management for the apps that are in Winget.
