Allow expanding of managed disks without downtime

Recently we had a customer's data disk hit near capacity and required additional disk space to be provisioned.  When attempting to expand the disk from Nerdio an alert indicated that a reboot would be required.  Found that we could make the adjustment directly from Azure to increase the disk size.  Made the adjustment, logged out of NMM and back in and the new disk size showed properly in the dashboard and then subsequently went into the VM to expand from disk manager.  Similar to this from MS.

Would be helpful if Nerdio offered this from the dashboard without the need to reboot the VM.

Welcome to the community, Jeremy Temblador 🙂!

Great call-out.
Currently, we require a reboot to resize the OS disk because we're not able to resize the OS disk while it's in use (even in the Azure Portal as far as I saw(see the screenshot below)).
However, we are able to do a live resize for the other data disks in the Azure Portal without a reboot.

If we change it so the OS disks require a reboot, but the other Data Disks do not, would that do what you're wanting?

Yeah, this is a limitation of the Azure portal, not of Nerdio.
