I've successfully transitioned most of my customers to Nerdio with the per tenant pricing model. However, I have a few clients who don't have Intune licenses yet, which prevents me from adding them. Are there any plans to remove this requirement? I'd like to onboard all my clients, and even without Intune, we can still manage their users and mailboxes.
Intune requirement for customers
Welcome to the community, Mike Sumption 🙂!
You mention a very common use-case (the need to manage Users and Mailboxes, but the customer isn't able/ready to move to Intune management, yet).
It's easy to say, "Just get everyone on M365 Business Premium.", but that's not always an easy sell to customers (Especially with all of the 'NCE' changes...🙊).
I know our product team is reviewing the requirement for an Intune License to enable Modern Work in NMM, but I haven't heard if/when this will change.
Many of our partners are adding an Intune Device license to a tenant to get around that requirement until the customer is ready to upgrade to an Intune enabled license for all of the users.
It's obviously not ideal, but a fairly easy work around for those few clients who don't have Intune, yet.

Thank you, Mike Sumption. I can confirm that we're actively working on this use case. There's a lot of effort involved but I expect that we'll be able to enable this scenario in Q1. Until then, the workaround that Dave describes is the easiest approach.
