Zoom, Webex, Google Meet, GoToMeeting in Multisession AVD?

Wondering how people are handling video calling and meeting apps, aside from Teams, in multisession AVD. In hosts that do not have graphics acceleration.  Do you tell people to run them outside AVD? Run in Edge/Chrome only with the multimedia redirection browser extension? https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-desktop/multimedia-redirection-video-playback-calls

The issues we see are poor audio/video performance, caused by echo and high CPU utilization. The fix for echos is probably going to have to be "use a headset".

Thanks!

I know many of the Video Conferencing solutions (i.e. Zoom, RingCentral, WebEx, Google Meet, etc.) have their own set of recommendations/best practices for using their solution in a Virtual Desktop environment.

Do you know if you've tried those out?

I have not. I looked, I think it was Zoom, a year ago, and it looked complicated. I was hoping someone else already has tried some things, and was willing to share their experience.

Thanks, Dave!

Zoom and Webex have VDI installers that you install on the session hosts and then a VDI plugin that goes on the local machine.  This redirects media processing to the local machine.  They work well.  I have not used the others.

Thanks, Steve Hopler

That is very helpful. I will try them out.
