SMTP Out for Notifications

I can see a use case for this (i.e. having all of your alerting flowing through a centralized tool), but I'm curious why you'd like a custom SMTP server option. I only ask because we're trying to get away from SMTP relays/servers. 

With SMTP2Go, I can also send an SMS, but I can not do it unless I send it out via their service.

Also we can have an address that does not exist like noreply@

Ah. Yes. Sending SMS through SMTP2Go could be a definite use case.

I'm not sure if you saw this or not, but it looks like Nerdio added the ability to send SMTP notifications in v5.0 (release notes) using Azure Communications Services
