Hi There,
When provisioning session hosts, it would be good to have better customization of session host name suffix. Rather than adding a random set of digits (-xxxx) at the end of the hostname, we would like to be able to use sequential numbers, so we can number the session hosts.
For example, CLIENT-AZ-AVD01, CLIENT-AZ-AVD02 etc etc
In addition to this, can the name prefix length be made longer, as at the moment the ten character limit can cause issues.
Kind regards,
James
Better hostname control for new Session Hosts - Suffix
3
Great idea, James!
Being able to set a suffix scheme at the account or host pool level would make it very flexible.
As far as the name prefix, I'm guessing that has to do with the Azure 15-character limit where Nerdio is getting to that limit (i.e. 10 Character Prefix + 5 character Suffix).
If Nerdio can implement the Suffix Customization, it should also allow for longer prefixes (if the suffix is less than 5 characters).
