Moving Existing M365 User to Remote

I have a couple users have been given permission to work remotely. They already have M365 accounts. I added them to the host pool, and they see it when they log into client.wvd.microsoft.com. However, they are not able to login. Looking at AD on the DC the users are not listed, and Sync is up-to-date. In NMM, the users have the In-cloud icon on their name. When I click Desktops drop down, I am missing some of the items that show in the Overview of Users guide shows. How do I get these users in?

Hi Josh, welcome to the community!.

It sounds like your scenario is an environment with a DC that syncs to AAD.  You mention the users are showing as cloud only which makes me believe they don't exist on the DC.  You will need to create those users on the DC and allow them to properly sync to AAD from there.

There are scenarios where you can configure different identity setups that may allow you to manage these users without them moving on DC01 but I'm not able to provide those paths here as they are OOS from the product.

I believe the community may be able to provide more detail if available.

I would review these two KB's as well

Carl Long In NFA there was the Import User option. Is that not available in NMM?

Correct, that feature isn't in NMM as we wanted to remove ourselves from identity management and access.   It's quite possible a scripted action or other automation could fill in this gap and it could be worth dropping that here as a feature request.

Cheers!
